The indie scene built strong foundations by appealing to the charm of action games and 2D platforms until taking the Metroidvania genre as its flag. At this point, there are proposals of all kinds and the trick is not to comply to the letter with everything we like to see in a game of this type, but to offer something original that attracts attention and even put proposals that go directly to action, combat and puzzles on the map.
