Disney+ has announced that Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 from Marvel Studios will arrive on the streaming platform on August 2.Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is the latest film in the popular Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy from director and screenwriter James Gunn, as well as some of the team members who have already announced that this installment would be their last collaboration with Marvel Studios, although you know, never say never.

Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #3, we meet our beloved band of misfits again but they look quite different now. After acquiring Wisdom from the Collector, the Guardians are determined to repair the massive damage Thanos caused and make Wisdom a safe haven, not only for themselves, but for all refugees displaced by the bleak universe. It should be noted that Peter Quill is missing, whom we found in the Jemiah’s Boot bar, trying to drown his sorrows for the loss of his beloved Gamora. Although the Guardians try to return to normality, they are soon affected by the brutal attack of a new enemy: the mad scientist known as The High Evolutionary, who has a direct connection to Rocket’s troubled past. After years of experimenting on defenseless creatures, The High Evolutionary is determined to take back what he believes is rightfully his: Rocket. The Guardians unite to protect Rocket’s life at all costs. This new mission, if not completed successfully, could spell the end of the Guardians as we know them.
