Former Halo Infinite multiplayer leader joins Bungie and will work on Marathon
Through a post on his personal Twitter account, Andrew Witts, former head of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode, confirmed that he had joined Bungie’s ranks to work on the new Marathon installment. In addition to thanking his new colleagues, he confirmed that he will be taking on the role of Game Design Director. โI am excited to share that I have completed my first week at Bungie! Andrew Witts is a personality with a long experience in multiplayer titles. Previously, he spent a year on Epic Games’ Fortnite and over 2 years on Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege. During his tenure at 343 Industries, he led the design of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode. Marathon is a franchise that was born in the 1990s. After 30 years of inactivity, Bungie announced that a new installment is in development. Of course, it will be an extraction PvP shooter, so single-player modes will be conspicuous by their absence. Of course, this news disappointed many fans of the IP.
