Has Gal Gadot been fired as Wonder Woman? Finally, James Gunn breaks the ice on this and clears up the whole truth about the DCU.

James Gunn has spoken out about the alleged firing of Gal Gadot. Despite rumors to the contrary, the DC Studios boss clarified to fans on social media that his studio did not fire the Wonder Woman actress from the superhero franchise. It’s a widespread lie among people. In response to a fan on Instagram who said that Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot had been “kicked out” from the DC Universe, James Gunn commented on the following. “I’m not sure where you get that we fired Gal,” he replied. Overwhelming. Straight. He didn’t need to say anything. It’s not the first time the director-turned-studio executive has responded to fans on social media, as he recently denied rumors that The Suicide Squad actors were going to be part of the new DCU. However, it was important that James Gunn speak out on this. Thus, Gal Gadot will continue to be Wonder Woman in the DC Universe. Or, at least, it seems.

Does the Wonder Woman franchise have its future secured?

James Gunn and Peter Safran have yet to respond 100 percent yes, in fact, Gal Gadot has stopped being Wonder Woman at DC Studios. But they have not said that they have fired her from her either. In fact, they haven’t said anything at all in that regard. The pair have been pretty outspoken when it comes to what they have planned for the next era of DC Studios storytelling. They have said outright that Henry Cavill would no longer be Superman and that it was “totally untrue” that Robert Pattinson’s Batman would be integrated into this great shared world of DC. So, you’d think if Gadot wasn’t going to be a part of the DCU anymore, James Gunn would say so.
