Will new Pokémon games be based in Australia?
We say this because in the game the reddit user Brenduke found an interesting painting of what appears to be a mountain in Art class. On its own, this element can be perfectly camouflaged in the living room, but after subjecting it to analysis, fans found that it bears a strong resemblance to Uluru. In case you don’t know this icon of Australia, just know that it is a formation made up of sandstone and that it was considered the navel of the world. This place is sacred to Australian aborigines and is part of the World Heritage Site. The relevant thing regarding Pokémon is that it could be a hint from Game Freak around the region in which the 10th Generation of Pokémon will take place, which would have influence from Australia and other parts of Oceania.
In case you missed it: the Pokémon anime will continue with the Paldea region.

We say this because the studio commonly drops hints in preview games about its upcoming projects. He did so with a Hawaiian-style souvenir in Pokémon X & Y that revealed the theme of Pokémon Sun & Moon; the Pokémon Sun & Moon poster that seemed to show Toxtricity from Pokémon Sword & Shield; these in turn included a reference to the grapes and oranges from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, and the Pokémon book Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl which spoke of a creature that would later debut in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Unfortunately, we will have to wait almost 3 years to find out if the new mainline Pokémon games will be based in Australia and the continent of Oceania. But with any luck and if Game Freak listens to the fans, it would be long enough to make these games the first in Pokémon history with voice acting. We will keep you informed. With all these clues, do you think Game Freak will explore Australia in their new games? Would you like this region to be the main influence for new games? Tell us in the comments. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are available exclusively for Nintendo Switch. You can find more about them if you visit their file or if you consult our written review.
