PlayStation technology was key in The Callisto Protocol

We are talking about Visual Arts Services Group, a studio specialized in motion capture and the production of cinematographic sequences. This became known after the user Zuby_Tech shared on Twitter an image in which Karen Fukuhara, who will play the character Dani Nakamura in The Callisto Protocol, is seen in the studio facilities. The user claimed that Striking Distance Studios used PlayStation motion capture technology for the game, but the former manager of this Sony studio, Michael Mumbauer, revealed that the partnership went further. According to Mumbauer, the Sony studio would not only have been used to capture the motion, but also collaborated in the production of the cinematographic sequences: “It’s going to be a bombshell”, anticipated the manager.
In case you missed it: The Callisto Protocol had to be canceled in Japan.

We don’t know for sure what PlayStation Studios Visual Arts Services Group’s involvement in The Callisto Protocol was, so we’ll have to wait until it’s on sale to see it in the credits. Although the name of this studio does not top the lists of the best Sony studios, apparently it is one of the most important, since it provides support to various developers in the industry, which is why Sony wants to make a new studio with talent from Visual Arts Services Group and Naughty Dog to work on new projects. In fact, there are hints that the first would be from a “beloved franchise” of PlayStation. What do you think about this? Are you excited for The Callisto Protocol? Tell us in the comments. The Callisto Protocol is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will debut on December 1. You can find more news related to him if you visit this page.
