Many are wondering what it will mean for Call of Duty: Warzone as it could be repetitive and even cannibalize the new Battle Royale. The game will not disappear permanently, but for a few hours. Activision announced that Call of Duty: Warzone will continue to operate even after the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. That said, once the sequel debuts the original Warzone will be temporarily gone for some much-needed maintenance.
In case you missed it: Devs will disable chat for toxic CoD: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 players It will be from 10:00 AM Mexico City time on November 16 when Call off Duty: Warzone will go offline. Soon after, Warzone 2.0 will debut and Raven Software will be fully dedicated to ensuring that this new installment has a successful debut without any issues causing headaches for the community. After a short Thanksgiving break, Raven Software is bringing Call of Duty: Warzone back. This will happen sometime on November 28, 2022. Thus, Activision’s popular Battle Royale will stop operations for approximately 2 weeks.

Call of Duty: Warzone will change its name

Once Call of Duty: Warzone becomes available again, players will notice that it will have a new name. As of November 28, it will leave behind the title Call of Duty: Warzone to be called Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera. In Warzone Caldera players will find the same Battle Royale experience and there they will have all their cosmetics unlocked so far. You will also still be able to earn experience for shared progression from Call of Duty games prior to Modern Warfare II that have Warzone compatibility. And you, what did you think of this change?
