Walt Disney Animation Studios has unveiled a new trailer for the Strange World animated movie, and it looks visually brutal.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has revealed new images of Strange World, a new house of mouse movie that opens on November 25. The film is directed by Oscar-winning Don Hall for Big Hero 6 to the best animated film, and also director of Raya and the last dragon; and co-writer/director Qui Nguyen (co-writer on Raya and the Last Dragon), and produced by Roy Conli (Big Hero 6, Tangled).Strange world features a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to traverse an uncharted land alongside a motley crew that includes a speck, a three-legged dog, and a host of hungry creatures. “Inspired by classic adventure stories,” said director Don Hall, “Weird World is an original animated adventure/comedy about three generations of the Clade family overcoming their differences as they explore a strange, wonderful, and often hostile world.” The original version voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade, a family man who finds himself out of his element on an unpredictable mission; Dennis Quaid as Searcher’s scout father, Jaeger; Jaboukie Young-White as Searcher’s 16-year-old son, Ethan, who craves adventure; Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, a skilled pilot and Searcher’s faithful companion; and Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal, the fearless leader of Avalonia who spearheads exploration into the strange world. The film opens November 25 in theaters only.Share0 Carlos Gallego Guzmán Since I can remember I have always been attracted to drawing, comics and especially cinema, “Star Wars: Episode IV” is responsible for this hobby, I was fascinated by the large number of spaceships that appeared in it and the whole world created by George Lucas, the scene of the Corellia ship being chased by an imperial cruiser that advanced until it filled the screen was impressive. The music of John Williams was catchy and easy to remember, by then I remember my collections of trading cards and the dolls of the saga. Another big influence has been the comics, specifically the Vertex editions of Spiderman, The X Patrol, The Avengers, The Fantastic 4, with which I learned to draw by copying the vignettes of John Romita Sr. and Jack Kirby. So it was not surprising that he ended up studying at the art school in Zaragoza.
