The Brazilian politician Kim Patroca Kataguiri has been posting campaign ads featuring anime parodies on his YouTube channel to prepare for the upcoming general election on October 2. On September 28, she posted a parody of Chika’s iconic dance from the anime. Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Kataguiri himself, dressed in the franchise’s male school uniform, appears dancing alongside a Chika cosplayer. The lyrics parodies the ending theme “Chikatto Chika Chika“, interpreted by the actress of konomi kohara. Kataguiri gloats in his victory over the Labor Party (PT) leftist and promises to continue fighting corruption. His most recent video from September 29 parodies bleach with a parody lyric from YUI’s opening theme, “rolling star“. He promises to lower taxes, cut privileges and fight against the PT. The song also refers to League of Legends and the “Jutsu” techniques of Naruto, and also urges viewers to vote for “the Japanese”. (Kataguiri is the grandson of Japanese immigrants.)
