As we previously reported, the manga of Shinichi Fukuda, Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling), launched an official fanbook that included a wide variety of illustrations, interviews, and other information about the franchise. The most interesting thing, it seems, is a graphic that shows all the official measurements of the character Marin Kitagawathe same ones he took Wakana Gojou during the first episodes of the series.
Although the information is in Japanese, the Facebook page “KISEKOI -ラテン系ファン” was in charge of translating it and placing it in a much clearer infographic.
If we put some of these measurements into a body visualizer, we can get an idea of what Marin Kitagawa’s body would look like in real life, which is pretty cool stuff. His weight is never revealed in the manga, so the app calculates it based on “ideal”, but considering Kitagawa eats a lot of junk food with little or no exercise, we really can’t get an exact idea of what his current weight would be. .
The anime adaptation premiered during the season of Winter-2022 (January-March) and had a total of twelve episodes, while the platforms Crunchyroll Y Funimation are responsible for its distribution in the West, also with a dubbing into Latin Spanish. For his part, Fukuda publishes the manga in the magazine Young Gangan from the publisher Square Enix since January 2018. The work has 7.5 million copies in circulation to date.
Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Synopsis
Engrossed in the family business of traditional doll making, Wakana Gojou is a reserved first-year high school student with no friends. With the painful memory of a childhood friend’s disdain for his interest, Gojou can’t relate to his classmates and his hobbies, causing him to isolate himself. Gojou has not yet perfected the making of the dolls’ faces, but he is exceptionally skilled at making his clothes. His skill with the sewing machine is soon discovered by his beautiful classmate Marin Kitagawa, whose boldness and honesty Gojou both admires and envies. She instantly shares with Gojou his own hobby: he likes to dress up as erotic video game characters. However, Kitagawa doesn’t know how to sew her own costumes, which leads her to seek out Gojou’s expertise. Being drawn into the charming girl’s endless adventures related to cosplay, Kitagawa becomes her first friend who fully accepts him. Thus, although they are polar opposites, their relationship slowly flourishes thanks to her ability to help each other in the intricate world of cosplay.
