The average time Coinbase users held the meme token, Shiba Inu (SHIB), before selling it or transferring it to another wallet has now exceeded six months. Data from the Coinbase pricing page showed that Shiba Inu investors on the NASDAQ-listed cryptocurrency exchange have held their SHIB tokens for 183 days. This period exceeded the average waiting time for other major digital assets such as Sunshine (SUN), Bitcoin (BTC), Cardan (ADA) Y Ethereum (ETH). Based on feedback from the cryptocurrency exchange, a long wait time suggests an accumulation trend. On the contrary, a short waiting time indicates a larger sale or transfer of tokens. Ever since Coinbase introduced the wait time feature on its platform, the average SHIB wait time has been on the rise, according to data from Gfinity eSports. Coinbase price data also revealed that Shiba Inu it is among the 12 most popular digital currencies on the platform. The exchange also announced that 94% of its users trading the meme-inspired coin continue to acquire more while the rest move their tokens. It is important to note that Shiba Inu trading activity on Coinbase is only a small portion of their total trading activity. The meme token is listed on other major cryptocurrency trading platforms, notably on Binance.
Growing strong despite the departure of the founder
Four months ago, anonymous Shiba Inu creator deleted all his social media profiles and left the Shiba Inu community. His departure was similar to how Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto left the Bitcoin community in December 2010. However, his departure has not stopped or prevented SHIB holders from holding their tokens. Since the departure of the founder, the SHIB community and developers have been responsible for managing the affairs of the platform. They are developing new solutions that they plan to release soon. SHIB: Metaverse and Shibarium are the two popular solutions among others that they plan to release soon. Shibarium is a layer 2 blockchain where SHIB token holders can migrate their tokens to enjoy lower transaction fees. Like other metaverses, SHIB: Metaverse is a metaverse exclusive to the SHIB community. Members have started buying plots in this metaverse. Also, the developers of SHIB recently released a preview of Shiba Eternity, a collectible card game. This game is one of the projects that the SHIB community is looking forward to its release. SHIB developers released a preview of Shiba Eternity in the game following an announcement from the lead of the Shiba Inu project, Shytoshi Kusama. Kusama previously announced that Vietnam game players with iOS devices accessed the trial version of the game and the trial was successful. Kusama also suggested various ideas for the SHIB community regarding Shiba Eternity. One of his suggestions was the Shiba Eternity tournaments, where the reward for tournament winners was anything related to the SHIB ecosystem, such as SHIB tokens, bone, or NFTs. Many SHIB holders agreed that Kusama’s tournament idea was great and supported it.
