If that was an announcement that excited you and you wanted to enjoy its new version as soon as possible, you will be happy to know that the project already has a release date. Through a statement, Electronic Arts announced that Dead Space will debut on January 27, 2023. This means that the remake of this survival horror classic will be available in stores in just over 8 months, so it will debut well before what many expected. As previously announced, Dead Space Remake will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, making it a next-gen platform exclusive. This means that you will not have the opportunity to play it on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One natively.

“Developing this remake has been a lot of fun for us at Motive as we are true fans of the franchise and want to treat it with the respect it deserves. It has been equally exciting to see the reactions from players as we take them on this development journey with us,” said Phillippe Ducharme, Senior Producer for Dead Space. “We’re making great progress on our way to Alpha and are happy to announce that the game will launch in January of next year. This year we will see a little more of Dead Space
If you’ve been following the Dead Space Remake since it was announced, you know that Electornic Arts and EA Motive haven’t shown much about the game. On more than one occasion we’ve had developer streams giving us a glimpse of the work in progress, but we haven’t seen an exciting trailer or gameplay segment to give us an idea of what their final version will look like. Fortunately, EA Motive is already planning to change that, but we’ll have to wait a while for that to happen. What happens is that the study promised in October, shortly before Halloween we will have a “more substantial look at the game.
